The recent form makes the case even more emphatically. Of the last six races, Sky Safari has won four, finished second once, and thrown in a rare below-par effort (that "23" finish) suggesting the occasional off-day but nothing more. The rest of the time, it competes at the very top end of the sport — Class 1 and Class 2 races are among the most prestigious on the British calendar, and Sky Safari has won two Class 1 races at Lingfield Park in the space of three months, the latest on 21 February 2026. That is not the profile of a horse finding its level; it is the profile of a horse who belongs at the top table.

Two venues have become very much home territory. At Kempton Park, Sky Safari has won all three times it has raced there — a perfect record that trainers dream about. Lingfield Park tells a similar story. Then there is the wet ground factor: on soft or muddy surfaces, Sky Safari has won all three races it has entered, a 100% record that tells you this horse does not just cope when the ground gets heavy — it thrives. Many horses tolerate difficult conditions; this one appears to relish them.

The partnership with jockey Daniel Muscutt is worth noting too. Together they have won 6 of their 9 races — that is two wins for every three rides, a connection that clearly works. Behind the scenes, trainer James Fanshawe's yard at Newmarket has sent out 45 winners this season alone, so this horse is in capable, high-performing hands.

Now 36 days since its last run, Sky Safari comes back off a short freshen-up. Given the consistency it has shown — particularly on wet ground and at its favourite tracks — it would take a brave person to bet against it adding to that tally whenever it next lines up.
