Two wins from his last six races is a horse finding form at the right time, and the timing of those wins matters. His first career win came at Newcastle in October 2025 — a race his trainer Mickey Bowen had specifically targeted from their base in Haverfordwest in west Wales, a long haul north that clearly paid off. Bowen had said beforehand that Sir Carnegie would "take a lot of beating" and he was right. Bowen's yard has been in excellent form this season, sending out 51 winners, so there is plenty of confidence behind this horse. Sir Carnegie tends to operate at Class 5 level, which is the bread-and-butter end of the sport, but winning 2 from 6 at that level — 1 in every 3 — suggests he is well suited to it.
