Six races back, Sioux Warrior was finishing fifth and sixth. Now it has reeled off a sequence of second, second, third, third, and a win — a streak that suggests something has clicked, whether that is fitness, confidence, or simply finding the right race at the right time.

One of the more intriguing details is the record over seven furlongs to a mile. In just three races at those distances, Sioux Warrior has won once — that is a win rate of 33%, or roughly 1 in every 3 races. Compare that to ten races at Class 5 level without a single win, and you start to see a picture of a horse that punches above its weight when conditions suit, even if it has struggled at the level it races most often. That Class 5 record is worth noting — it means most of Sioux Warrior's racing has been at the lower end of the scale, where competition is relatively open, and yet the wins have still been hard to come by.
