The six-year-old made its first mark at Haydock Park in September 2023, then stepped up to land that York prize the following summer. Since then, though, it's been a long wait. Shadow Dance hasn't won in its last six races, with recent finishing positions of 9th, 11th, 7th, 6th, 7th, and 13th — a sequence that suggests it's found things tough and hasn't been able to recapture that York form. It raced just yesterday, so it's firmly in the thick of another campaign.
