The horse's best days came earlier, most notably a Class 2 victory at Haydock Park in March 2024—a significant win at one of Britain's premier tracks that proved his capabilities at top level. He was trained to that breakthrough by Olly Murphy's Wilmcote yard, which has been firing in winners all season. With jockey Sean Bowen in the saddle, Secret Trix has found his rhythm; the pair have recorded 5 wins together from 17 races, a 29% win rate that is markedly better than his overall record. That partnership plainly works. More recently, however, he has not tasted victory in 11 months, his last win coming at Kempton Park in November 2025, and the runs since have been a mix of near misses and mid-field efforts that suggest age may be catching up with him at last. He typically competes in Class 3 company, where he has won 2 of his 12 races—a respectable but unspectacular conversion rate at that level.

Still active and racing only a day ago, Secret Trix remains a horse worth following in the right race with his trusted rider aboard, though the gap between his last victory and now is a reminder that jumping racing can be a young horse's game.
