Sea Fort

Robbie Colgan has been in the saddle for five of those six races and is still waiting for a first win with Sea Fort — the pair have drawn a blank every time out together. That isn't necessarily a damning verdict on either horse or jockey, but it does mean there is no established partnership to lean on heading into whatever comes next.

What makes Sea Fort's return particularly worth watching is the nine-month absence. The horse hasn't raced in roughly 298 days, which is a long time off the track for a young horse that still has plenty to prove. Trainer Sheila Lavery's yard has sent out four winners this season, so there is form in the stable — but Sea Fort will need to show something dramatically different from its first six runs if it is going to justify the patience that has clearly been invested in it. Fresh starts can sometimes unlock a horse. This one is overdue one.
