What does give some optimism is the yard itself. A J Martin's operation at Summerhill has sent out 15 winners already this season, so this is clearly a team that knows how to get a horse ready to win. The fact that Screaming Eagle raced just one day ago means the yard are keeping it busy and believing a breakthrough can come. Sometimes a horse just needs things to fall right — the right race, the right day, the right draw. With three places already on the board, Screaming Eagle has shown it can be competitive. The first win, when it comes, will have been thoroughly earned.
