Both of Scenario's wins have come at the level the horse knows best: Class 6, which is the entry level of British racing, the equivalent of a Sunday league footballer who is genuinely useful at that standard but unlikely to be troubling the Premier League. The distance that seems to suit best is somewhere between seven furlongs and a mile, where the horse has won 1 from 5 races, a 20% win rate. For context, that is a better return than its overall career suggests, and it points to a horse that has a specific sweet spot worth targeting.

The two wins are separated by more than five months: a first career breakthrough at Lingfield Park in July 2025, followed by a second at Wolverhampton on New Year's Day 2026 — a date that must have pleased the yard. That Wolverhampton win was three months ago now, and since then Scenario has gone six races without adding to the tally, with recent finishes of 6-4-10-6-4-6 telling the story of a horse that finds the frame occasionally but cannot quite get its nose in front.

The trainer is Tony Carroll, based in Cropthorne in Worcestershire, and this is a yard that knows how to keep horses busy and productive. Carroll's team has sent out 134 winners this season alone — a serious volume of winners that speaks to an operation that places horses shrewdly and keeps them racing. Scenario is part of a large, active string, raced just four days ago and clearly still in the thick of things. Whether a third win is around the corner is hard to say, but with the right distance, the right ground and a Class 6 opportunity, it remains entirely possible.
