Sangara

Recent form tells a mixed story. Sangara's last six outings have yielded nothing better than a third-place finish two races ago, with two fifth-place finishes and a couple of efforts further back down the order. The horse has been partnered most often with jockey George Bass, who has ridden it five times without a win between them. On the evidence so far, Sangara performs best in lower-level races—it has had four attempts at Class 5 level without success, which suggests this may be around the right grade, though results have not followed.

The yard itself is having a decent season with eight winners already sent out, so there is nothing obviously wrong with the training operation. Whether Sangara will break its duck remains an open question. For now, it is a horse that races regularly but has not yet delivered a victory despite repeated opportunities.
