Tinkler has been open about where things stand: this is a horse coming to the end of a long career, and the plan is to give him a couple more runs before a well-earned break, with an eye on next season when he can give younger apprentice jockeys a schooling in what a genuine, honest racehorse feels like. That might be the best measure of Roundhay Park's legacy — not the six wins, but the fact that a trainer wants his young riders to learn from him.
