Rampage

What's most striking is how long it has been since that last win — 15 months ago at Dundalk on 12 July 2025. Since then, Rampage has raced six times without breaking through, most recently finishing eighth and sixth in its last two outings. That dry spell matters because it suggests the horse may be past its best, or at least struggling to find the form that produced those four career wins. Trainer T G McCourt, who operates from Stamullen in County Meath, has kept Rampage active and racing, which speaks to faith in the horse's ability to compete, but the results lately have not backed that up.

Where Rampage does show genuine strength is on normal ground conditions. It has won two of its 13 races on that going — a 15% win rate — which stands out sharply against the overall picture. Jockey James Ryan, who has ridden the horse 34 times, has won three of those races together, also a 9% win rate, slightly better than the horse's general performance. These small advantages matter at this level: they suggest that on the right day, with the right conditions, Rampage remains capable of finding the winner's circle. The question is whether that day is coming soon, or whether the past 15 months signals that those winning days are behind it.
