Two of his eight wins have come at Class 2 level, which means one of the bigger races in Britain. The most recent of those was the Silver Trophy at Chepstow in October 2025, and Murphy's reaction afterwards said it all: "I'm not shocked often but I am after that — I didn't think he'd win." When a trainer is genuinely surprised by his own horse winning, it suggests the horse found something extra on the day that nobody saw coming. That's the kind of spirit that makes a horse worth following.

His most productive partnership has been with jockey Sean Bowen, who has ridden him 12 times and won on 5 of those occasions — that's a win rate of 42%, meaning they win together nearly once every two and a half races. For context, most horse and jockey combinations at this level would be delighted with half that figure.

Murphy has been candid about where Rambo T stands heading into the next phase of his career. The handicapper — the official who assigns weight to horses to try to level the playing field — has likely responded to the Chepstow win by making life harder for him. "He's probably been handicapped out of it," Murphy suggested, which is the racing world's way of saying the system has caught up with him. That's the curse of winning big: you immediately become a harder proposition next time out.

His recent form figures of 11-19-10-8-9-1 show that the Chepstow win aside, he's been running in competitive fields where finishing positions can be deceiving. He raced just one day ago and remains active, so there's clearly more to come from this horse yet.
