Three of those wins came in top-tier Class 2 races, which are among the better races in Britain, and they came in a concentrated burst: Wolverhampton in November 2023, then Newcastle in March 2024, then Southwell in April 2024. Five months, three quality wins. That kind of purple patch at this level shows a horse firing on all cylinders.

Ground matters too. On normal conditions, Prydwen wins nearly 1 in every 2 races — 6 wins from 13 outings, which is a remarkable conversion rate. Add in 2 wins from just 4 races on slightly soft ground and it becomes clear that this horse performs best when the conditions are straightforward rather than extreme.
