Porter's Song

Porter's Song is a 4-year-old still searching for that first win after six outings without success. The horse has shown some promise in recent form, finishing as high as fifth twice in the last six races, but has not yet managed to get across the line ahead of the field. Trained by Liam Bailey at Middleham in Yorkshire, Porter's Song runs for a yard that has already sent out 17 winners this season, so there is clearly know-how in the stable. The horse was last seen in action just a day ago, so Bailey will have a fresh sense of where things stand. Whether Porter's Song can break through and secure that elusive first victory remains to be seen, but the trainer clearly believes there is ability there worth pursuing.
