Trained by Jim and Suzi Best at Lewes in East Sussex, Nezeeh has been campaigned patiently since a career debut win at Thirsk back in August 2023. The partnership with jockey J M Sheridan has been particularly fruitful — they have combined for three wins from 13 races together, a win rate of nearly one in four, significantly better than the horse's overall record. It is the kind of link that suggests both rider and horse understand each other's rhythms.
The last thirteen months have been lean, however. Nezeeh's most recent win came at Bellewstown on 1 October 2025, and in the six races since then, the horse has finished 8th, 8th, 10th, 9th, 6th and 9th — a run of frustration with no top-three finishes in that sequence. Raced just yesterday, Nezeeh remains actively campaigned, which suggests the yard believes there is still more to come. At five years old and still competing, this horse is a trier, the kind that turns up week after week looking for its moment. That moment will likely come again, but only when the conditions — and the distance — fall in its favour.
