Mythical Bay is a three-year-old still finding its way at the track, with moments of real promise mixed into a record that reflects the typical ups and downs of a horse at this stage. The horse has won three of ten races so far — a win rate of roughly one in three — and that's a respectable return for a young animal still developing under trainer Andrew Balding at Kingsclere. What stands out more than raw numbers is the pattern of recent form. Two wins in the last six races, including a victory at Newmarket on 4 July, suggests the horse knows how to win when the pieces come together. But there's been a wobble since then.
