The partnership with jockey Grace McEntee, daughter of trainer Phil McEntee, has produced six races together and zero wins — though in fairness, that reflects the horse's overall trajectory rather than any single cause for concern. Phil McEntee operates out of Newmarket, one of British racing's most famous training centres, and the yard has been in decent enough nick this season with 16 winners on the board. Morning Suit, however, has not been contributing to that tally.

That is where the sole career highlight came: Lingfield Park, late November 2023, on the all-weather surface. At Class 5 level, which is the everyday, bread-and-butter tier of British racing rather than anything prestigious, the record reads 1 win from 8 races, or about 1 in 8. The horse is racing where it belongs in terms of grade, which makes the prolonged absence from the winner's enclosure harder to explain away by simply saying the competition has been too tough.

Morning Suit raced just yesterday, so this is a horse very much in active training and being kept busy. Whether another visit to Lingfield — the scene of that one career peak — could spark something is a question worth asking, but at a 5% win rate across 19 races, the honest answer is that the next win, whenever it comes, will be a welcome surprise rather than something anyone would confidently predict.
