That kind of partnership tends to matter, and Ryan clearly knows how to get the best from this horse. Beckett himself is in excellent form this season, having sent out 107 winners already, so Likealot is racing out of one of the busiest and most effective yards in the country.

Conditions matter enormously for this horse. On normal ground, Likealot wins half its races — 2 from 4 — which is a remarkable return and tells you exactly what the team will be hoping for when they pick their targets. Stretch the trip out to between a mile and six furlongs and two miles, and the win rate holds up at roughly 1 in 3, suggesting a horse that gets better the further it goes. That combination — a stayer who thrives on decent ground — gives Beckett a clear picture of when and where to run it.

The two wins came at Chelmsford in February 2025 and Lingfield Park in December 2025, both all-weather tracks, which hints at a horse that handles an artificial surface well. The Lingfield win is the most recent, coming seven months ago, but Likealot raced just yesterday — so whatever has happened in between, the horse is still very much in training and active. The recent form reads 4-1-2-2-6-2 from the last six runs, meaning four of those six efforts produced a top-two finish. Only one run, the sixth-place finish, looks out of character.

Currently competing mostly at Class 4 level — solid, mid-tier racing rather than the very top end — Likealot looks like a horse with the consistency to keep winning at that level and perhaps push a little higher. Nine times out of ten, it gives its the yard a reason to smile. That is not nothing.
