The numbers are sobering. From twenty-five career races, Liamo has won just once — a four percent win rate — and finished in the top three only seven times overall. When you give a horse this many chances and it delivers so little, you start to wonder whether that Listowel success was the exception rather than the rule. His best distance appears to be between seven furlongs and a mile, where he has managed one win from fourteen attempts, but even at his preferred trip the results have been frustratingly inconsistent.

Paddy Harnett has been his regular partner, but that partnership has yielded nothing: zero wins from eleven races together, suggesting the combination hasn't quite struck the right note. Liamo is trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh at Doneraile in Cork, a yard that has sent out three winners this season. The horse raced just a day ago, so he remains actively campaigned, though his recent form — a single top-three finish in his last six outings — suggests he is drifting rather than progressing. For a horse now past his juvenile years, consistency and regular success have proved elusive.
