Law Of Supply

The two victories on its CV are genuinely interesting when you look at them. The first came at Worcester in October 2024, and then just over a month later Law Of Supply won at Ascot — one of the most prestigious venues in British racing. Getting a winner at Ascot is no small thing, and doing it in November 2024 gives the horse a notable entry on its record. Since then, however, it has gone 16 months without adding to that tally, running six times without winning. The recent form of 2–4–3–4 shows a horse still finishing in and around the places, but the wins have dried up.

Most of Law Of Supply's career has been spent at Class 4 level — solid, competitive racing without being the very top tier — and the numbers there are honest rather than impressive: 1 win from 9 races at that level, or just over 1 in every 9. Trained by Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls out of their Cheltenham yard, the horse is in capable hands — the team has sent out 31 winners already this season, so they clearly know what they are doing. Whether they can find the right race to get Law Of Supply back to the winner's enclosure for the first time since Ascot is the question worth watching.
