What makes those wins particularly meaningful is the level at which they were earned. Three of Kylian's five victories have come in Class 2 races — among the better contests you will find outside the very top tier — and one of them, at Sandown in July 2023, was a Class 1, which means one of the highest-grade races in Britain. A horse that wins at that level, and then keeps delivering in serious company on the all-weather circuit through winter, has clearly got something real about it. The career prize money, spread across nineteen races at this standard, reflects a horse that has been competitive where it matters most.

Ground conditions appear to play a significant role. On normal going, Kylian has won 4 of just 6 races — a two-thirds win rate that is frankly extraordinary. When conditions shift away from that sweet spot, the results become harder to predict, which is useful information if you are trying to work out when this horse is at its most dangerous.

Robert Cowell's yard in Newmarket has been in fine form, sending out 26 winners already this season, and Kylian has been one of the reasons why. Jockey Luke Morris has clearly built a strong understanding with the horse — three wins from five rides together, winning 3 in every 5 times they have partnered, is a meaningful record rather than a coincidence. The combination is one worth watching. With Kylian having raced just eight days ago and still clearly active, the next run will not be long in coming — and on the evidence of recent months, it would be unwise to look past it.
