Current form is mixed. A second place a week ago at Brighton—where the horse claimed its last win two weeks earlier on 23 August—shows it can hit the frame, but recent runs have been more hit and miss: a seventh, then a run of third-place finishes sandwiched around a fifth. This is the profile of a horse capable of winning in Class 5 company (3 wins from 9 races there), but one that needs the right conditions and trip.

Interestingly, Hollie Doyle has ridden Knights Gold five times without a success, which may simply reflect the races chosen rather than a poor partnership.
