The headline moment came at York on 12 October 2024, when Jungle Drums won a Class 1 race — one of the biggest and most prestigious races in British racing. York is widely regarded as one of the finest tracks in the country, and winning there at the top level is the kind of result that defines a horse's reputation. It was only a few months after the first career win at Hamilton Park in June 2024, which makes that York success all the more striking — a horse that went from breaking its duck in the summer to beating the best in the autumn.

The most recent win came at Chelmsford on 16 October 2025, about five months ago, and since then the recent form figures of 16-11-1-11-25-8 tell a mixed story. That "1" — a win — sits in the middle of some less convincing efforts, with a 25th-place finish suggesting at least one tough day at the office. The interesting challenge for Jungle Drums appears to be at Class 2 level: in three races at that grade, it has yet to win. Whether that reflects the difficulty of the step up, or simply a small sample of races, is the open question hanging over its next few outings.

Jungle Drums is trained by Jamie Osborne at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, a yard that has sent out 48 winners this season alone — a high-volume, high-performing operation. Osborne is clearly placing this horse carefully, and having already unlocked a top-level win at York, the team will fancy their chances of solving that Class 2 puzzle before long. A horse with a 33% win rate and a Class 1 on its record is one that punches hard when conditions are right — the question is simply when those conditions align again.
