Sprint racing at that kind of distance is all about raw speed and a clean start; there's nowhere to hide and no time to make up ground. The fact that Izzy Fast has found the winner's enclosure over those distances, but not yet beyond them, tells you something useful: this is a horse built for pace rather than stamina.

The recent form figures — 7-9-1-5-9 — tell a slightly mixed story. Reading right to left, that's two poor runs early on, then the Great Yarmouth victory, followed by a fifth and then a seventh most recently.
