It was a small adjustment with a big result, and it arrived almost fifteen months after the horse's first career win at Newton Abbot in July 2025. What is notable is that this horse, now nine months on from that Sedgefield success, has not won in its last six races since, finishing third twice and fifth three times in that sequence.

Saffie Osborne has ridden Isle Of Sark 11 times without winning together, a frustrating combination on paper, though it is worth noting the horse's overall win rate gives almost any partnership limited material to work with. Trainer Micky Hammond, based at Middleham in North Yorkshire, has had a productive season with 31 winners from the yard — Isle Of Sark has not been among them, but raced just one day ago, which means this story is very much still being written.
