Trained by P Charalambous and J Clutterbuck at their Newmarket base, Inclusive has spent most of its time competing at Class 6 — the entry-level tier of British racing, where the competition is as accessible as it gets. Going 0 from 3 at that level is a concern, because if a horse cannot find a win in the most open company available, it raises real questions about when and where a breakthrough might come. The Newmarket yard has sent out two winners this season, so the operation is capable of getting horses to the line first — Inclusive just hasn't been one of them yet.
Having raced just yesterday, Inclusive is clearly being kept active, which suggests the team still believes there is a race to be won somewhere. At three, there is still time. But with eight races behind it and nothing in the win column, the clock is ticking, and that elusive first victory is starting to feel like the only storyline left to write.
