Nigel Tinkler trains the horse from his yard in Langton, North Yorkshire, and the operation is clearly in decent form — 37 winners already on the board this season, which is a productive return for any yard in Britain. With that kind of firepower behind it, Inca Warrior is in capable hands as it continues to learn its trade.
Two races is a very small sample for any young horse. At this stage, two-year-olds are still figuring out what racing actually is, and a pair of fourth-place finishes can mean many things — the wrong distance, the wrong ground, or simply a horse that needs a few more runs before the penny drops. It is far too early to write off Inca Warrior, particularly when it was last out just yesterday and clearly remains in active training. The next run will tell us considerably more.
