Honour Your Dreams

The worry is the form. Honour Your Dreams hasn't won in six consecutive races, and that's the kind of run that starts to gnaw at the yard. The last victory came at Lingfield Park on 8 July 2025, now thirteen months in the past—a long drought for any horse still being asked to race. The recent six-race sequence (5-4-9-2-4-4) shows occasional nearness, particularly those second and fourth-place finishes, but nearness is not the same as winning, and after more than a year without success, momentum has gone.

Ground conditions do seem to matter. The horse shows a slight preference for slightly soft ground at eighteen percent win rate (2 wins from 11 races), and performs reasonably on both normal and dry surfaces too—fifteen percent on fast ground, thirteen percent on standard going. That consistency across conditions is actually a modest strength. The one genuinely interesting statistic is the sprint record: one win from three races over distances under five furlongs. That's a thirty-three percent win rate, even in a tiny sample, and suggests the horse might have more pace than its overall numbers indicate. If Attwater can keep finding the right sprint races with the right ground, there might be another win or two left in the tank. But time is not infinite, and the thirteen-month drought is becoming hard to ignore.
