Highfield Jewel

Trained by Sara Ender out of Malton in North Yorkshire, Highfield Jewel races for a yard that has sent out 9 winners this season, so the trainer clearly knows how to get a horse to perform. That makes Highfield Jewel something of a puzzle — the ability is there in the yard, but it simply hasn't transferred to this particular horse on a raceday yet. The best finish across those six outings was a fourth, which at least shows Highfield Jewel can get competitive on occasion, even if a win has remained stubbornly out of reach.

Whether that changes anytime soon is the question. Having raced just yesterday, Highfield Jewel is clearly being kept busy, and sometimes a horse just needs the right race on the right day to click. It hasn't happened yet — but six races is still a relatively small sample, and stranger turnarounds have happened.
