The recent record tells its own story. Four wins from its last six races, including two of the most prestigious races in British racing. It won a Class 1 race at Chepstow on Boxing Day weekend 2025, then backed that up with another Class 1 at Newbury in February 2026. These are the top tier of races in Britain — the kind of occasions that attract the best horses and the biggest prize money. To win two of them back-to-back is not something ordinary horses do.

The partnership with jockey Sean Bowen looks like a major part of the story. Together they have won 7 of their 11 races, a success rate of 64% — meaning nearly two out of every three times Bowen climbs aboard, Haiti Couleurs comes home in front. That is not coincidence; that is a combination that works. Add in trainer Rebecca Curtis, who operates out of Newport in Pembrokeshire and has sent out 18 winners already this season, and you have a well-oiled team operating at the top of its game.

Cheltenham deserves a special mention. The home of jump racing's greatest festival is a course that exposes horses mercilessly — it is undulating, demanding, and unforgiving of anything less than a genuine top-class performer. Haiti Couleurs has raced there three times and won twice, a record that any horse in training would be proud of. Its first career win came at Chepstow in March 2024, and in less than two years it has climbed all the way to winning the biggest races on the calendar. Last raced 16 days ago and still active, whatever comes next for Haiti Couleurs will be worth watching.
