What makes Great Profit's recent form encouraging is the consistency it shows. That is the pattern of a horse who belongs in the races he is running and knows how to finish near the front. The most recent victory at Hamilton Park on 28 September came hot on the heels of an earlier win at Thirsk back in August, suggesting Stephen Hanlon's yard at Constable Burton has found the right races and conditions for the horse. The yard itself is doing well this season with four winners already sent out, so Hanlon clearly has a good eye for a spot.

At three years old, Great Profit still has time to progress, and the timing of these back-to-back wins suggests the horse is learning his trade and developing confidence. Whether he will climb the ladder to bigger prizes remains to be seen, but what matters now is that he is clearly enjoying his racing and finding the winners' circle with increasing frequency. With momentum on his side and a trainer who knows where to find the right race, there is every reason to think the good form will continue.
