That is a modest figure in absolute terms, but it tells you something useful: put her at the wrong distance and she has even less chance than usual. Her most common level of competition is Class 5, which sits near the bottom of the British racing pyramid, and she has yet to win a race at that level from 18 attempts. That is not a typo.

Her most regular partner in the saddle is Charlie Deutsch, but the combination has not clicked yet — zero wins from seven races together. Trainer Michael Mullineaux operates out of Alpraham in Cheshire and has sent out three winners so far this season, so the yard is capable of producing results. Granny B, to put it kindly, has not been the one delivering them. She remains a horse with a long career, one winning memory, and an admirable willingness to keep showing up.
