Some horses simply find their rhythm at a specific distance, and for Graffiti, that mile-to-mile-and-a-quarter range is where things click. The first career win came at Fontwell Park in August 2022, and the most recent at Wolverhampton in November 2023 — now 31 months ago, which is a long wait by anyone's measure.

Most of Graffiti's races have come at Class 6 level, which is the entry-level tier of British racing. Even there, the horse has won just 2 from 15, so this isn't a horse dominating the bottom rung — but it is placing consistently, which suggests it's competitive without quite finding the extra gear needed to get its nose in front. The recent form reads 5-5-4-12-5 across the last six outings with one non-completion, meaning Graffiti is hovering around mid-pack without threatening the leaders.

Jockey Miss Isabelle Ryder has partnered Graffiti nine times without a win between them, and trainer Gary Brown's yard at Fox Hill in Wiltshire has managed just one winner this season so far. Neither stat screams momentum. Still, horses and yards can turn a corner quickly, and the fact that Graffiti is still actively racing at 7 — out just yesterday — tells you the team still believes there's a race to be won. Whether that belief is rewarded soon is the question.
