Golden Gift

Golden Gift is a two-year-old starting out in racing under trainer Gavin Cromwell at Navan. The horse made its debut just a day ago and finished fourth. It's far too early to draw any meaningful conclusions — one race tells you almost nothing about a young horse's ability or future prospects. What matters now is what Cromwell and his team learned from that first outing and what they do next. Cromwell's yard has been in fine form this season, sending out 96 winners, so Golden Gift is in experienced hands. The real story of this horse will unfold over the next few months as it gets more racing and begins to show what it's capable of.
