The horse belongs to John and Sean Quinn's Norton yard in North Yorkshire, one of the stronger outfits in the region—they sent out 44 winners this season alone—and he has found a particular home at Ripon. Two wins from four races there is the kind of record that catches the eye. His most recent win came at Ripon on 27 September 2025, beating older horses in a Class 2 race with jockey Jason Hart aboard. Hart rides him more than anyone else and has won three of 21 races together, the same 14 percent win rate Eye Of Dubai carries overall. In the parade ring after that Ripon win, Hart explained the plan: the horse doesn't attack when leading, so they needed other runners to chase and give him a target. It worked. "He dug in," Hart said.

That victory came 11 months ago, and Eye Of Dubai has not won since—six straight races without a win. His recent form reads 13-13-8-10-11-7, which tells you he is still placing regularly enough to matter, but the wins have dried up. Last raced just a day ago, he remains active, but the question hanging over him now is whether that Ripon victory was the high point or simply a plateau. At five years old with 29 races on his card, he knows his job. The Quinn yard still believes in him—they have entered him in races where he can compete at Class 2 level, where he belongs. Whether he can recapture that winning touch remains to be seen.
