Evening Call

The horse has run twice without winning yet, but did place in one of those races. Most recently, a week ago, Evening Call finished eighth, and before that came in third. Neither performance has been a breakthrough moment, but the third-place finish suggests the horse is at least competitive at whatever level it is running at. With such a small sample of races, it is still very early to draw conclusions about where Evening Call will settle as a racehorse. The horse may improve significantly with more experience, or it may be one of the many that never quite finds the winning formula. That story — whichever way it goes — will become clearer once a few more races are in the book.
