Esprit De Loi is a two-year-old still finding its feet on the racecourse. The horse made its debut just over a day ago and finished unplaced, nowhere near the winners. It is trained by
Noel Meade at Castletown in County Meath, a yard that has already sent out 42 winners this season — so there is decent form in the stable. For now, Esprit De Loi remains very much a work in progress, and a second race will tell us far more about whether this horse has the ability to develop into something useful.
