That is a remarkable conversion rate and suggests the horse is at its most effective when given enough room to travel but not asked to stay all day.

Michael Herrington's yard at Willoughton has sent out 33 winners this season, suggesting a stable in good health and capable of placing its horses well. Jack Nicholls rides Dream Illusion most often, though the combination has clicked just once from eight attempts together. Whether that partnership finds another gear remains to be seen — but the horse itself is clearly in the form of its life.
