Dontwaste A Moment

The horse broke through at Newcastle on 2 June, claiming a first career success, but has struggled to repeat that form since. Over the last six races, the results read 5-7-1-10-5-3 — a run that includes one decent third-place finish but mostly mid-field finishes that suggest the horse is still learning. It's been two months since that Newcastle win, and with just a race five days ago, Dontwaste A Moment remains in active work.

Ivan Furtado trains the horse at Wiseton in South Yorkshire, a yard that has sent out 43 winners this season, so there is solid form and experience behind the horse. At three years old, there is still time and room for Dontwaste A Moment to develop. For now, it is a horse that has shown promise enough to win but needs to string together better form to suggest a real future.
