Recent races tell a story of inconsistency. Over the last six outings, the horse has finished 5th twice, placed second once, and filled lower spots in between, with a 13th place finish in its most recent race just yesterday. This kind of form—capable of showing up for a place but struggling to close out wins—is typical of a horse still developing or one that hasn't quite found its best distance or conditions. At three years old, there is time for Crown Office to find another gear, but the 11-month gap since that Leicester win is a long drought. With William Haggas's stable consistently producing winners (170 this season), the yard clearly knows what it takes to get horses into the winner's circle.
