Crown Of Crowns

Crown Of Crowns is a three-year-old trained by William Haggas at Newmarket, fresh off its debut just a day ago. The horse finished fourth in that opening race, which is a common enough start for a young animal stepping out for the first time. Haggas is one of the most successful yards in the country — they have already sent out 170 winners this season — so Crown Of Crowns will have been given every chance to settle into racing and learn the ropes. A single run tells you almost nothing about a horse's real ability or future prospects. What matters now is how it responds next time out.
