Trained by Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls at Cheltenham, Court In A Storm came into racing with reasonable promise. His first win arrived at Ludlow in October 2024, and he has since collected two more victories. The yard itself is in fine form this season with 31 winners to its name, so the horse is in capable hands. Bailey has indicated the horse was given time over the winter to recover and school over hurdles, with a clear eye on building for the season ahead. That kind of patience suggests the trainer sees potential worth preserving, even if recent results have not delivered.

What makes Court In A Storm worth watching is the gap between what he can do at Class 4 and what he has shown in his last six races. Either he has simply had bad luck—a string of narrow defeats to sharper rivals—or he has lost the edge that made him so effective lower down the card.
