That is more than double its overall win rate, and it tells you something real — this is a horse that does not just tolerate conditions other horses hate, it actively thrives in them. When the rain comes down at a British track and the ground turns soft, Corsican Caper becomes a very different proposition.

The horse races mainly at Class 6 level, which is the entry level of British racing. It is where the most modest horses compete, and there is no shame in that — these races fill cards up and down the country every week, and it takes a certain type of tough, consistent performer to keep finding the places and picking up wins. That is the horse's sixth career win, and the fact it is still running well and winning races at 62 starts in is genuinely impressive — some horses are done at that stage, but this one clearly is not.

Regular jockey Joe Leavy has ridden Corsican Caper eight times together for 1 win, a partnership that is still finding its best. But with recent form reading a win, a third, and a fourth from the last three completed runs, the horse is clearly in a rich vein right now.
