That is a perfectly respectable record, and it suggests the horse is competing at a level that suits it.

What complicates the picture right now is form. Circuit Breaker has not won in its last six races, and that run includes a ninth-place finish which stands out as an off day. The two second-place finishes mixed in there are encouraging — they tell you the horse is not completely out of sorts — but a six-race winless streak for a horse that has only won three times in its life is something any owner watches closely. Whether a return to its favourite track is on the cards remains to be seen, but that is where the smart money on a comeback win would logically point.
