Just this week, Celestias Comet won at Nottingham on 4 July 2026, and was back out racing only a day later — a sign that the team is confident the horse is in the form of its life right now. That Nottingham win is the second of the career, following a first success at Southwell back in September 2025, so the horse has been steadily progressing over the past year. What makes the recent form particularly interesting is the contrast: the last six runs show a win and two fifth-place finishes, but before that the horse finished sixth, sixth, and eighteenth. Whatever clicked between then and now, something clearly has.
The yard behind all of this is James Fanshawe's operation at Newmarket, one of British racing's most storied training bases.
