Murphy's yard has fired out 146 winners already this season — that is a serious training operation with depth and momentum, the kind of team that knows how to keep a horse improving. Sean Bowen is the jockey most associated with Caelan, and their partnership tells an interesting story: one win from five rides together, a 20% win rate. That means Bowen wins roughly 1 in every 5 times he climbs aboard — comfortably better than the horse's overall career average of 1 in every 8 races.

Where Caelan looks most at home is over the longer distances — anything over two miles. Two wins from four races at that trip, a 50% win rate, is a striking number.
