Most horses are generalists; this one has found a home. His most recent win came there on 13 March 2026, and his big Christmas result — a Class 2 victory on 26 December 2025 — also came at Wolverhampton. Class 2 is among the top tier of British racing, so that win represented a proper step up in quality, and he delivered.

Distance is the other piece of the puzzle. Over a mile and six furlongs to two miles, he has won 3 of just 6 races — exactly half — which is a remarkable conversion rate at any level. Jockey Billy Loughnane, who rides him more than anyone else and has won 4 of their 13 races together, described him as a horse who genuinely stays the longer trip but also has the finishing speed to win even when the pace is slow. That combination — stamina and a late kick — is rarer than it sounds.

There is a small question mark hanging over his immediate future, though. Boughey has spoken openly about the possibility of dropping him back in trip after Loughnane felt he may not have fully stayed when the competition stepped up. The trainer put him in the Queen's Prize at Kempton, one of the season's tougher staying tests, and is now weighing whether the current rating means they need to be a touch more selective. His recent form shows a couple of below-par efforts alongside that March win, so the team is clearly still working out where he fits best at this stage of his career.
