Gordon Elliott, training out of Longwood in County Meath, has had an extraordinary season — 210 winners sent out, one of the most powerful yards in Ireland by any measure. He praised Bowensonfire's performance at Cheltenham, noting the horse stayed the distance well and opened up new options for future targets. Elliott has also flagged the County Hurdle as a potential next step, believing the format — a big competitive field where a horse can be dropped in and come from off the pace — suits Bowensonfire's particular style of racing perfectly.

Having last raced just one day ago, this is a horse still very much in the middle of its story. When the rain falls and the draw goes its way, Bowensonfire is the sort of horse worth paying close attention to.
