Shane Foley has been the regular partner, riding Billie Be Quick in 7 of its 17 races and winning once together — that's 1 in every 7 rides, or around 14%, which is modest but tells you these two have history and a working relationship.

The recent form does ask a question, though. Look at the last six runs and you get 10-6-12-1-10-2 — which, reading right to left in terms of time, shows a second place, then a win, then two results deep in the field, then a sixth, then another finish outside the top ten. The win in that sequence came at Chepstow on 7 August 2025, which was genuinely encouraging — a horse traveling to a track in Wales and getting the job done suggests it can perform away from its comfort zone. But the two runs after that, finishing 6th and 10th, raised questions about whether that form could be sustained.

What makes the current moment interesting is the gap. Billie Be Quick hasn't raced for 169 days — roughly five months — which is a significant absence. That kind of break can mean any number of things, and it's impossible to know from the outside, but what history tells us is that this horse is capable of winning races and has already shown it can do so at more than one track. Mrs Harrington's yard is in strong form this season, and a horse with a Down Royal record like this one would be worth watching closely whenever it returns to that particular course. There's unfinished business there.
