Winning half your races at that kind of company is not normal. Most horses at that tier are doing well to win one in five. Add in 13 places from 19 races and this is a horse that almost always gives you something to cheer about.

The ground appears to suit a wet forecast, too. On soft or muddy ground, the horse has won 3 of 5 races — 60% — which is exceptional. But interestingly, it also handles normal conditions well, winning 2 of 3 on a standard surface. That kind of versatility is genuinely useful and suggests the horse's ability, not just the weather, is doing the heavy lifting.

Trainer A King, based at Wroughton in Wiltshire, has had 57 winners this season alone — a yard clearly firing on all cylinders. The horse was originally purchased as one who could handle a trip and wet ground, with the yard noting early on how pleased they were with his schooling. That investment in patience appears to have paid off handsomely. When Believitanducan won for his previous trainer Jessica Macey at Beverley in July 2024 — his first career win — Macey pointed to how tough and genuine the horse was, describing him as having deserved it after repeatedly finishing just behind the winner in earlier races. That toughness hasn't faded. King's post-race comments after a win at Newbury noted the horse jumped beautifully from the outset, with a simplicity that suggested confidence rather than relief.

Three wins on the bounce, a race just yesterday, and a team clearly believing in what they have — Believitanducan looks like a horse building towards something worth watching.
